The AHL today handed Checkers defenseman Trevor Carrick a two-game suspension.
The suspension comes as a result of a high-sticking incident in Sunday’s game against Toronto.
Carrick will miss Charlotte’s visit to Providence on Friday and Hartford Saturday. As it currently stands the Checkers have six available options on the blue line with Carrick out.
