The AHL announced Friday that Checkers defenseman Josiah Didier has been suspended for one game as the result of an elbowing incident in Wednesday's game against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Didier, who has six points in 46 games for the Checkers this season, will miss Saturday’s matchup against the Binghamton Devils.

Head coach Mike Vellucci stated after today's practice that Tyler Ganly, who has been serving as the team's seventh defenseman over the last few weeks, will slide into Didier's spot on the blue line for Saturday's game.
