Andrew Miller
Andrew Miller is returning to the organization as the Carolina Hurricanes agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract with the high-scoring forward on Tuesday.

Miller, 28, has spent parts of the last two seasons with Charlotte ever since the team acquired him on loan from the Bakersfield Condors in exchange for Zach Boychuk in March of 2016, scoring a total of 47 points (14g, 33a) in 66 games. This marks his second consecutive one-year contract with the Hurricanes.

This past season, Miller finished third on the team with 41 points in 55 contests, the bulk of which came during a second-half tear that saw him post 32 points in his last 34 games after returning from injury on Jan. 27. His point total during that run tied for fifth-most in the league during that time period, while his plus-17 rating tied for third in the AHL during that stretch. Miller was also one of the Checkers’ top performers in the playoffs, ranking second on the team with five points (3g, 2a) in five games.

A veteran of four professional seasons who completed a four-year career with Yale University in 2013, the undrafted Miller has amassed 180 points (64g, 116a) in 225 career AHL games with Oklahoma City, Bakersfield and Charlotte. He has scored six points (1g, 5a) in 15 career NHL games, all with the Edmonton Oilers.
