Ahead of a big weekend series against the Hartford Wolf Pack, the Checkers have received Lucas Wallmark from Carolina.

Presented by Hometrust Bank
Wallmark has bounced back and forth between the NHL and AHL during his second pro season in North America. The 22-year-old has skated in 19 career games with the Hurricanes, including picking up a goal in 11 contests this season.

During his time with the Checkers Wallmark has been an offensive force. The Swede has racked up 36 points (13g, 23) in 34 games for Charlotte this season, ranking fourth on the team in scoring despite playing significantly fewer games.

The Checkers kick off a six-game home stand with a series against Hartford that starts Friday, while Carolina doesn’t play again until Monday after Thursday’s contest in Chicago.
