After returning to Charlotte earlier this week, Lucas Wallmark is headed back to the NHL as the Hurricanes have recalled the forward.

Wallmark made his season debut for Carolina on Dec. 30 and scored his first NHL goal against the St. Louis Blues. He would appear in one more game during his stint before being assigned back to Charlotte, but needs at forward have caused Carolina to bring the Swede back up.

Wallmark, who has three points (1g, 2a) in 10 career NHL games, ranks fourth on the Checkers with 23 points despite only playing in 20 AHL games so far this season.
