FLORIDA

8-0-1, 1st in the Atlantic

The Panthers are off to a scorching start, winning eight straight games to begin the season until dropping their final contest of the month in overtime to the Bruins. Still, by taking 17 of a possible 18 points, the Panthers turned in their best-ever month of October.

3-6-1, 8th in the Pacific

The Kraken have completed their first month as the newest NHL club, complete with the ups and downs that come with a recently constructed squad. Seattle ended October on a strong note, however, winning two of its last three contests by a combined score of 9-2.
