In addition to the return of popular annual events including Race Night (Jan. 16) and Pink in the Rink (Feb. 7), the coming season will also feature the first-ever Hornets Night, presented by Husqvarna, on Saturday, Nov. 29. As part of the event, the Checkers will wear special Hornets-themed jerseys that will be available for auction immediately following the game to benefit the Checkers Charitable Foundation and the Charlotte Hornets Foundation.
Rounding out the season’s schedule are a handful of premium giveaways, beginning with free house flags to the first 2,500 fans courtesy of Wells Fargo and free magnet schedules to the first 3,000 fans courtesy of Novant Health for the first home game of the season on Friday, Oct. 17, and continuing with free hats, autographed pint glasses and gloves as the season progresses.
Recurring events from previous seasons, including postgame skates with the team, Thirsty Thursdays featuring $1 Bud Light draughts and college nights are also on the 2014-15 schedule. Additional events and details will be released throughout the season.
