The Hurricanes have assigned forward Chris Terry to Charlotte for a conditioning stint.
The franchise's all-time scoring leader rejoins the team after spending all of this season in Carolina. Terry made the team out of training camp and has appeared in 17 games thus far, recording seven points (4g, 3a). Terry is tied for fourth on the Hurricanes in goals and ranks ninth in points.
Terry started the season hot, racking up five points (3g, 2a) in his first five games, but has since fallen off, marking just two points in his next 12. The sixth-year pro has also been a healthy extra in three of teh last eight contests for Carolina.
Terry returns to Charlotte as the franchise leader in games played (294), goals (103), assists (149) and points (252). This season marked the first time in his career that the Ontario native began his campaign at the NHL level.
