The Checkers got a big piece of their offense back with the Hurricanes assigning forward Brock McGinn to Charlotte.
The second-year-pro added another two NHL games to his resume in his second stint with the Carolina, bringing his season total to 14 games.
In 10 games with the Checkers this season, McGinn has racked up six goals, tying him for second on the team despite only appearing in half as many games as most of the rest of the roster.
The Checkers offense struggled mightily against a stingy Ontario team with their depleted corps of forwards, with McGinn and Phil Di Giuseppe both in Carolina. The addition of McGinn gives Charlotte one of its most lethal weapons back, which should help them as they prepare for a pair of road games in Texas coming up this week.
