Longtime Checkers defenseman Michal Jordan is returning to Charlotte on a conditioning stint.
The blue liner has logged 297 games over five seasons with the Checkers, putting him third in franchise history. Jordan has totaled 92 points (20g, 72a) in a Checkers sweater, the most among franchise defensemen.
After splitting last year between the Checkers and Hurricanes, Jordan signed a one-way deal with Carolina during the offseason. He has spent the entirety of his season so far with the Hurricanes, but has been a healthy extra more often than not, appearing in just 10 games.
The move to Charlotte should let the 25-year-old get back into the swing of things as he will likely log a significant amount of ice time here before returning to Raleigh.
The Checkers kick off a four-game week with a matchup against the Iowa Wild Tuesday night.
