The Florida Panthers announced today that they have recalled Cooper Black from Charlotte.
Black is 2-1-0 this season for the Checkers with a 2.67 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage. Most recently he turned in a 33-save gem to help Charlotte beat Hartford 4-2 on Saturday.
The 25-year-old earned his first NHL recall last week and backed up Akira Schmid in the Panthers win on Oct. 16.
The Panthers start a week-long, four-game road swing Wednesday in Ottawa, while the Checkers return to action with two tilts on home ice against Springfield this weekend.
