The Checkers are hosting an NHL Draft party at the Burger Company at 1500 W. Morehead St. on Friday, June 22.
Enjoy $2 domestic beer and 25 percent off appetizers while waiting to see what the Carolina Hurricanes do with the No. 2 overall pick! The party will begin at 6 p.m. and live television coverage of the draft's first round beginning at 7.
A total of 24 first-round draft picks have played for the Checkers since the team joined the AHL in 2010, including three last season (Julien Gauthier, Haydn Fleury and Jake Bean).
