Following their win in Calgary Saturday afternoon, the Canes have assigned Julien Gauthier to Charlotte.
Gauthier appeared in each of Carolina’s last three games and picked up his first NHL point with an assist against the Flames. He has now logged five NHL games after debuting earlier this season.
Gauthier returns to Charlotte where has a team-leading 10 goals in 22 games this season. The Checkers are in the midst of their last home stand before the holiday break, hosting Hartford on Tuesday and Wednesday and Lehigh Valley on Saturday and Sunday.
