NEW UPDATE: The Hurricanes recalled the duo Wednesday evening.
UPDATE: After skating in Carolina's win over Boston on Sunday, both forwards were assigned back to Charlotte.
Ahead of Sunday’s game against Boston, the Hurricanes have recalled forward Clark Bishop and Janne Kuokkanen from Charlotte.
After debuting earlier this season, Bishop has logged 15 games for the Hurricanes this season while picking up a goal and an assist along the way. With the Checkers the third-year pro has five points (3g, 2a) in 15 games as well.
This marks the second recall of the season for Kuokkanen, who appeared in three games for Carolina earlier this month. The second-year pro currently ranks second on the Checkers with 27 points (11g, 16a) in 29 AHL games.
The Checkers are off for a quick holiday break before embarking on a six-game road trip through Canada that starts Dec. 28 in Laval.
