Despite missing each of their top two goaltenders, the Checkers put on a defensive show over the weekend, allowing just one total goal to go 2-0-1 while playing three road games in three nights in three different cities.
Down to one goalie due to injuries at their NHL affiliate in Carolina, the Checkers have filled out their lineup for tonight by signing goalie Allen York to a professional tryout contract.
