Ahead of a home matchup against Anaheim Friday, the Hurricanes have recalled forward Clark Bishop.
This marks the third recall this season for Bishop, who has logged seven games with the Canes thus far, including his NHL debut. With the Checkers, the third-year pro has put up five points and 20 penalty minutes over 12 games, including skating in each of the team’s three most recent home contests.
Without Bishop the Checkers, who kick off a three-in-three road swing Friday in Providence, have 13 healthy options at forward, though they’re slated to add reigning AHL goals champ Valentin Zykov tomorrow should he clear waivers at noon.
