The Hurricanes have announced the recall of Checkers captain Patrick Brown.
This is the second time this season that the fourth-year pro has been recalled to the NHL, though he didn’t play any games during his last stint.
Brown, in his second season as team captain, has 20 points (6g, 14a) in 44 games this season for Charlotte, bringing his total to 83 points (33g, 50a) in 240 career AHL games.
The 25-year-old has appeared in 28 career NHL games with the Hurricanes, recording a goal and an assist along with eight penalty minutes.
