American Hockey League teams don’t necessarily go through rebuilding years the way their NHL parent clubs sometimes do, but it’s safe to say the Charlotte Checkers are navigating through a sort of transition.
This past weekend did not go as the Checkers had hoped it would, but there is no time to dwell on it, as the team must now turn its focus to this weekend’s series in Iowa.
