With the Checkers following up a very good all-around performance in their last home win over Texas with back-to-back losses on the road, it would be easy to look at the results and say they’ve taken a step back.
In their first trip of the season to San Antonio, the Checkers didn't come away empty-handed, earning one point, but it wasn't the result they were looking for.
Despite the early season struggles that have plagued them, the Checkers have shown flashes of strength, including notching wins over two of the top four teams in the Western Conference. But the next step to fully pulling themselves out of the basement of the standings will have to be stringing those wins together.
