Coming off a two-game sweep of the Iowa Wild, the Checkers found themselves on the other end of a sweep, dropping back-to-back contests to the Western Cofnerence-leading Ontario Reign.
Following one of this week’s practices, there were loud cheers from the Checkers locker room echoing down the hallway. The cause of the celebration? It was the team learning that center David Wohlberg had signed an AHL contract to remain in Charlotte.
