The AHL has handed down discipline to two Charlotte blue liners, suspending Trevor Carrick for three games and Bobby Sanguinetti for one.
Both suspensions stem from the end of Game 2 in Providence. Carrick’s suspension comes from him leaving the bench on a legal line change for the purpose of joining an altercation, while Sanguinetti’s is for an illegal check to the head.
Carrick and Sanguinetti will both miss Wednesday’s Game 3 in Charlotte, while Carrick will also miss Friday’s Game 4 and the Checkers’ next game, whether it be Game 5 if necessary or Game 1 of the next round.
