The Checkers recently contributed more than 400 volunteer hours and $16,000 in monetary and in-kind donations throughout their daily community service program, “15 Days of Giving," presented by Lowe’s.

The events and fundraisers were held throughout Charlotte and included volunteering at Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte, Classroom Central and the Humane Society of Charlotte, among many more local non-profit organizations. Additionally, more than $7,000 was raised at the Checkers’ annual Golf Classic and 672 pounds of food were collected at a Checkers season ticket holder watch party, which can be used to feed more than 400 individuals.
The program began on Saturday, Oct. 20, with a cornhole tournament at the Gin Mill, benefiting Sidekicks Mentoring, and culminated with a public skate for Special Olympics at Extreme Ice Center on Saturday, Nov. 3.
