UPDATE: BOTH SESSIONS ARE SOLD OUT
Both sessions provide first-time participants in hockey aged 5-9 with brand-new, head-to-toe equipment and seven on-ice instructional hockey sessions – all for just $145. The program will be held on Wedensdays and Mondays ending Oct 2., with one session going from 5-6 p.m. and the other from 6-7 p.m.All participants will receive a helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, pants, shin pads, socks, skates, a jersey, an equipment bag and a stick, plus two tickets to a Checkers game.
The First Goal program is open to first-time players who have not already participated in any other Learn to Play program, including a previous First Goal session. Previous skating experience is highly recommended but not required.

The program, a joint initiative between the Carolina Hurricanes, the NHL and the NHL Players’ Association in conjunction with the league-wide Learn to Play program, is designed to create a fun and effective program and to reduce cost barriers for first-time participants (those who have not previously been registered to a USA Hockey or Hockey Canada sanctioned minor program).
