Down to one goalie due to injuries at their NHL affiliate in Carolina, the Checkers have filled out their lineup for tonight by signing goalie Allen York to a professional tryout contract.
It didn’t seem as though the goaltending situation in the Carolina Hurricanes’ organization could get much crazier than it did towards the end of last season. It took less than a month for history to repeat itself in 2013-14.
John Muse is on the verge of playing for the Checkers for the third consecutive season, though that tenure hasn’t always been as stable as it might sound.
