The defending Eastern Conference champion Charlotte Checkers have punched their ticket for the 2026 Calder Cup Playoffs - marking their eighth straight trip to the postseason!
The Panthers have added another college free agent to Charlotte’s stable for next season, as Cristophe Tellier has signed a one-year, two-way AHL contract that begins with the 2025-26 campaign.
The Comets controlled the front half of Saturday night’s rematch with a two-goal lead, but the Checkers would battle back to force overtime, where Mike Benning would score in the final minute to bring Charlotte the 3-2 win.
