After clinching the Carolina Amateur Hockey Association state title, the Jr. Checkers Bantam AA team will compete in the USA Hockey National Championships in Hackensack, N.J., from April 2-6.
Checkers players, staff members and fans helped raise more than $91,000 for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, a volunteer-driven charity that helps fund research to find cures for childhood cancer.
