A season-high crowd of 12,948 was on hand for the seventh annual Presbyterian Hospital Pink in the Rink Saturday when the Checkers hosted the San Antonio Rampage.
The Checkers announced today that Sean Dolan has been named the team’s winner of the IOA/American Specialty AHL Man of the Year award for his outstanding contributions to the Charlotte community during the 2012-13 season.
Despite a season-high 14 games in March, Checkers players, staff members and mascot Chubby were active in the Charlotte community, volunteering their time with various schools and non-profit organizations.
