The Checkers and Novant Health are hosting toy and board game drives during their upcoming weekend home games on Saturday, Nov. 24, and Sunday, Nov. 25.
The Charlotte Checkers and Verizon Wireless today announced the continuation of their “Pass it Forward” campaign. The program, which is designed to surprise with random acts of kindness throughout the Charlotte community, won the American Hockey League’s award for Unique Community Relations Initiative in its inaugural run last season.
The Checkers today announced several ways that they will help provide relief for those affected by Hurricane Florence across North and South Carolina as well as show appreciation for local utility workers.
As part of a season-long military appreciation program with Verizon, the Checkers will be wearing special military-themed jerseys during the pregame warm-up period at six select games this season.
