The Checkers couldn’t get back on track Tuesday night, surrendering five goals in the third period to once again sputter late en route to a tough defeat.
The third period was the difference once again in Charlotte’s rematch with Hershey, with the Checkers dropping a 4-2 contest Saturday night in front of a packed house.
The Checkers roared out to a hot start Friday night but ran out of steam in the third, as Hershey racked up four unanswered goals to beat Charlotte 4-3 in overtime.
The Charlotte Checkers and Bojangles Coliseum have been closely monitoring the forecast of winter weather that may affect travel conditions for tonight’s 7 p.m. Checkers game against the Hershey Bears.
