The Checkers have advanced to the third round of the Calder Cup Playoffs by virtue of a 3-2 series win over the Providence Bruins. Next up for Charlotte is a date with the defending champion Hershey Bears in the Atlantic Division Final.
With their backs against the wall, the Checkers took care of business in Game 5 by beating the Bruins 5-2 and punching their ticket to the Atlantic Division Finals.

Game 4 of the Atlantic Division Semifinal was another back-and-forth affair - one that required overtime - but the Checkers couldn’t quite find the winner, and the Bruins forced a decisive Game 5 on Sunday.
