The Florida Panthers announced today the team has assigned forward Ryan McAllister from the Checkers to the ECHL’s Savannah Ghost Pirates.
McAllister, 24, has appeared in 15 games this year with the Checkers, recording two goals and five assists. The London, ON, native has spent parts of four seasons with Charlotte, logging 72 games and 46 points (18 goals, 28 assists).
McAllister played one collegiate campaign at Western Michigan University, scoring 13 goals and adding 36 assists in 39 games in 2022-23. He had a well-decorated junior hockey career, winning the AJHL’s Most Valuable Player Award and the league championship in 2021-22 with the Brooks Bandits.
The Florida Panthers have assigned forward Jack Studnicka to the Checkers.
Studnicka, 26, returns to Charlotte after playing eight games earlier this season, scoring one goal and adding five assists. The Windsor, ON, native was recalled by Florida on December 1, making 18 appearances with the Panthers this year.
Studnicka has recorded 168 points (58 goals, 110 assists) in 233 games, spanning across seven seasons with Charlotte, Ontario, San Jose, Abbotsford and Providence.
The Florida Panthers have assigned forward Noah Gregor to the Checkers.
Gregor, 27, has skated in 24 games with the Panthers this season, logging one goal and two assists. The Beaumont, AB, native has suited up in 317 NHL games over seven seasons, appearing with the San Jose Sharks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, and Florida.
Gregor was selected with the fourth round (111th overall) in the 2016 NHL Draft by the Sharks. He’s previously played in the AHL in parts of three seasons, recording 40 points (14 goals, 26 assists) in 43 games with the Barracuda.
