The Charlotte Checkers announced today the team has signed forward Karsen Dorwart to a one-year, two-way AHL contract.
Dorwart, 23, appeared in 70 games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms last year as a rookie, scoring 10 goals and adding 14 assists. The 6-foot-1, 194-pound center played three seasons at Michigan State University, notching 92 points (38 goals, 54 assists) in 111 outings as a Spartan from 2022-23 to 2024-25.
Dorwart joined the Philadelphia Flyers following the 2024-25 collegiate season, skating in five games. The Sherwood, OR, native made his NHL debut on April 5, 2025, against the Montreal Canadiens.
